Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution according to safety regulations.
- Complete and maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to all company policies and DOT regulations.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure the truck is road-ready.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Physically capable of lifting, pulling, and handling cargo.
