Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently on regional and local routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks while adhering to weight restrictions.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation for all shipments.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickup and delivery stops.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
- Strong knowledge of DOT hours-of-service regulations.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and handle cargo securely.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
