Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) safely and efficiently to ensure timely delivery of cargo.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections according to DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight securely using proper lifting techniques and tie-down equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) logs and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) issued by the state of California.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Willingness to travel to Ohio for regional assignments (optional).
