Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to transport freight to designated locations on time and within budget.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) as required.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of highway safety, traffic laws, and vehicle maintenance.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
