Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) in a safe, efficient, and legally compliant manner.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during the process.
- Plan routes and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines and schedules.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation as required by FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Adhere to company policies regarding safety, cargo handling, and professional conduct.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and navigation.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
