Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe and professional manner to deliver cargo on time.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo according to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and delivery logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
Qualifications
- Valid United States Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Familiarity with Chicago area roadways and logistics hubs.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
