Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on regional routes within North Carolina
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and FMCSA compliance standards
- Perform thorough pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Accurately complete electronic logging and delivery documentation
- Maintain professional communication with dispatch and clients
- Ensure secure cargo handling and delivery verification
- Collaborate with logistics team for efficient route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with regional Charlotte-area geography
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
