Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) to transport freight across state lines.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Ensure the truck and trailer are clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) for the past 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- U.S. Citizenship or Legal Working status required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
