Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe, efficient, and legally compliant manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight according to industry standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding road safety and driving hours.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding schedules and cargo status.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as refueling and tire checks, to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
