Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver freight to designated locations in and around Austin, TX, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and tarps to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
