Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across the assigned routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and handling according to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, HOS rules, and cargo securement.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Professional attitude and strong communication skills.
