Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the commercial vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely operate the tractor-trailer over designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads against shifting.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and daily logbooks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
