Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers (Class A CDL) in a safe and efficient manner on highways and local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using proper tie-down techniques, straps, and equipment to ensure cargo security.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily logs, delivery receipts, and Inspection Reports (DVIR).
- Maintain a clean driving record and strictly adhere to all DOT and company safety regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report mechanical issues.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate driving.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong commitment to safety, time management, and customer service.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overnight shifts.
