Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, legal, and professional manner at all times.
- Fleet Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is road-ready.
- Freight Handling: Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring all goods are secured and protected during transit.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD), driver's logs, and delivery receipts.
- Route Planning: Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations.
- Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication with dispatch and customers regarding status and delays.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Medical: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Legal: Authorized to work in the United States.
