Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to deliver freight on time and within budget.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual labor.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging (ELD) and adhere to all FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle interior and exterior.
- Handle customer service issues professionally to maintain high satisfaction ratings.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) on file.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays as required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
