Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks in a safe and efficient manner to deliver freight to designated locations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity throughout the route.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols to minimize risk and accidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Uphold the company’s high standards of customer service and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong knowledge of DOT/HOS rules and regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with cargo handling.
- Reliable access to transportation to and from the terminal.
