Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on long-haul and regional routes throughout Texas and Illinois.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement according to FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and intrastate traffic laws.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Willingness to cross state lines (Texas to Illinois routes).
