Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for regional and dedicated routes within North Carolina
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with precision using manual and power equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs (ELD)
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization and on-time delivery
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic familiarity with ELD systems and route navigation
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
