Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe, efficient, and legally compliant manner.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques to ensure cargo integrity.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings accurately.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel regarding status and delays.
- Ensure the vehicle interior and exterior are kept clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with GPS and mapping software.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and time management skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
