Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on local, regional, and long-haul routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques, dollies, and loading equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and complete all necessary delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required at time of application.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3-5 years (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform routine truck maintenance checks.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to safety.
