Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) in a safe and efficient manner on regional routes.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing according to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (DOT/HOS) and complete vehicle inspection reports.
- Navigate routes in North Carolina and New York efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and ETA.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) required.
- Current Medical Card (DOT compliant).
- Clean driving record with no recent major violations.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety standards.
