Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial Class A truck in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance needs.
- Load and unload freight efficiently and securely using proper equipment and lifting techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Deliver freight to customer locations on time and in excellent condition, adhering to route plans.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules, delays, and delivery issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred (6 months for new grads).
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate interstate commerce.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and a drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
