Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Inspect vehicles prior to and after trips to ensure mechanical safety and proper loading.
- Maintain accurate logs (Driver's Daily Log) and paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) with the required endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no recent major violations.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of sitting for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
