Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A) to transport cargo to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently using various equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR, ELD) and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely delivery.
- Uphold a high standard of safety and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or DUIs.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Strong knowledge of roadways in New York and the surrounding tri-state area.
