Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and tractor-trailers in urban and highway environments.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is accurate.
- Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Familiarity with Hazmat or Tanker endorsements is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of road maps and navigation tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime if needed.
