Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to deliver freight to designated locations on time and within schedule.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and all required delivery documentation.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment and techniques.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws, as well as company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Ability to read and comprehend maps, routes, and delivery instructions.
- Willingness to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
