Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (tractor-trailers) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and security of cargo and equipment.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to weight and balance guidelines.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) to ensure compliance with hours of service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold a professional image and demonstrate safe driving habits at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement procedures and road safety regulations.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
