Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial Class A tractor-trailer on various routes throughout Indiana and surrounding states.
- Deliver freight to customer destinations on time and in perfect condition.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere strictly to all FMCSA regulations and company safety policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
- Document all deliveries accurately, including using ELDs and maintaining logbooks.
- Uphold a professional image while interacting with customers and the public.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read maps and GPS systems effectively.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a physical fitness test.
