Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently over designated routes, including New York and Florida territories.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) in accordance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve any delivery or routing issues.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical duties related to loading/unloading.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
