Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in a professional manner.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and safety.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and highway safety.
- Basic math skills for making change and calculating mileage.
- Willingness to undergo entry-level training if no prior experience.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
