Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers safely and efficiently to meet strict delivery schedules in and around the Boston area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and daily delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure a zero-accident environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and interact professionally with warehouse staff.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driverβs License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Current DOT medical card and DOT physical examination on file.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience driving tractor-trailers.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement procedures and DOT hours-of-service rules.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
