Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to deliver freight to various locations in Georgia and North Carolina safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and vehicle readiness.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring cargo security and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT/HOS) and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Interact professionally with customers at delivery sites to ensure satisfaction.
- Communicate any delays or mechanical issues with dispatch immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a professional environment.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT physical on file.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform manual labor duties.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia and North Carolina roadways and regulations.
- Basic computer proficiency for electronic logging devices (ELD).
