Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles to transport cargo to designated delivery locations in the San Jose area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure safety compliance and vehicle readiness.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo is secured properly to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and mileage records in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety policies, and company procedures at all times.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel at each stop.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT compliant.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving) in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
