Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A delivery vehicles to transport freight to designated locations in San Diego and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and cargo security.
- Verify delivery accuracy and obtain customer signatures upon completion of each route.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while adhering to all company dress code policies.
- Uphold strict safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure a zero-accident environment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no DUIs or serious moving violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must be able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, or hand truck.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation systems.
