Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on local routes within the Mesa area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and security.
- Manage electronic logging devices (ELD) accurately to maintain legal driving hours and maintain accurate delivery records.
- Interact professionally with customers, handling billing and delivery documentation as required.
- Maintain a clean driving record and a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Familiarity with cargo securement procedures and DOT compliance standards.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a commercial vehicle across state lines.
