Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) on local and regional delivery routes.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed.
- Verify delivery accuracy and obtain customer signatures for receipt of goods.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. No experience necessary for qualified applicants.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Basic math skills for making change and managing delivery paperwork.
