Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) to deliver freight to customers on time.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand jacks as required by the route.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) in strict compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT Medical Card must be presented at hire.
- Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong problem-solving skills and time management abilities.
