Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vans to transport freight to designated customer locations and distribution centers.
- Execute safe and efficient loading and unloading of cargo using appropriate lifting equipment.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and manage proof of delivery systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including handling inquiries and resolving delivery issues professionally.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and well-maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Physical capability to lift, carry, and push items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or ability to obtain one.
