Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles, including tractor-trailers and box trucks, to transport goods to local and regional destinations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and vehicle maintenance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and handling of fragile items.
- Navigate complex delivery routes efficiently, adhering to time schedules and traffic laws.
- Interact professionally with customers at delivery sites, handling receipts, signatures, and inquiries with a customer-first mindset.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and documentation as required by federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable professional driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as business needs dictate.
