Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local and regional freight transport in Los Angeles County
- Manage efficient route planning to meet delivery deadlines and optimize fuel usage
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate with dispatch in real-time
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling of goods during transit
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Build client relationships through professional service and timely deliveries
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and local traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of box truck driving experience in urban environments
- Proof of commercial auto insurance and DOT medical certification
- Reliable late-model box truck (2008 or newer) in excellent mechanical condition
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and smartphone communication apps
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
