Responsibilities
- Operate your insured box truck for local/regional freight deliveries within Jacksonville and surrounding areas
- Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Manage all aspects of cargo loading/unloading with proper securing techniques
- Utilize provided dispatch software for real-time tracking and route optimization
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Communicate proactively with clients and dispatch teams regarding delivery status
- Submit weekly invoices and documentation for prompt payment processing
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable box truck or commercial driving experience
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability coverage)
- Reliable late-model box truck (26ft or larger) in good mechanical condition
- Smartphone with reliable internet access for dispatch app
- Basic proficiency in navigation apps and digital documentation tools
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally and operate loading equipment
