Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain your box truck for local and regional deliveries
- Manage delivery schedules and optimize routes for efficiency
- Handle freight documentation and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and Alaska-specific transport laws
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team for seamless operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck or heavy freight experience
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability minimum)
- Reliable box truck (26ft+ preferred) in good mechanical condition
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in Alaskan weather conditions
- Strong time management and route planning skills
- Basic understanding of freight documentation and billing
- Must own/operate your own qualifying box truck
