Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local and regional deliveries in Honolulu and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and required documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic truck maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and timely deliveries
- Ensure cargo security and compliance with all DOT regulations
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding delivery status and issues
- Manage inventory handling and loading/unloading procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck driving experience
- Proof of commercial truck insurance and DOT medical certification
- Strong knowledge of Honolulu geography and Hawaiian highways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for on-road repairs
- Reliable smartphone with GPS and communication apps
- Professional demeanor and customer service experience
