Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical condition of the box truck throughout the shift.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS systems and adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR).
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery times.
- Handle paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Own a clean, well-maintained box truck suitable for freight hauling.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional appearance.
- Reliable smartphone with data plan for dispatch communication.
