Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional deliveries in the Portland metro area
- Plan efficient routes to meet tight delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel usage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and required documentation
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable box truck experience
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability)
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly
- Reliable smartphone with GPS and data capabilities
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Must own/operate compliant box truck (24-26ft preferred)
