Responsibilities
- Transport goods safely and efficiently from pickup to delivery points.
- Ensure cargo is loaded, secured, and protected against damage during transit.
- Complete all necessary delivery and billing paperwork accurately and on time.
- Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical condition of the box truck.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding schedules and delays.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Must have a clean driving record (no major violations or DUIs).
- Current DOT medical card and liability insurance coverage.
- Must own a reliable box truck suitable for local and regional freight hauling.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50lbs) and work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong time management and navigation skills.
