Responsibilities
- Operate box truck for efficient freight delivery within Sacramento Valley and Northern California
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic documentation
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Coordinate with dispatch team for optimal route planning and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Manage loading/unloading operations when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or commercial driving experience
- Reliable box truck in DOT-compliant condition
- Strong knowledge of Sacramento metro area and surrounding routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Smartphone with reliable data connectivity
- Pass background check and drug screening
