Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for regional freight delivery within San Antonio and surrounding areas
- Optimize routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic documentation
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients regarding shipment status
- Manage fuel expenses and vehicle maintenance documentation
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and local traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck driving experience
- Reliable box truck (26' - 33') with current registration and insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting
- Smartphone with reliable internet access for app-based dispatch
- Pass background check and drug screening
