Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks safely and efficiently for local/regional freight delivery
- Manage daily route planning to ensure timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and vehicle logs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Optimize routes to maximize fuel efficiency and on-time performance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck driving experience
- Strong knowledge of Madison metro area and surrounding regions
- Basic mechanical aptitude for routine vehicle maintenance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Reliable personal box truck (2008 or newer, under 150,000 miles)
- Commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- Smartphone with GPS capability
