Responsibilities
- Safely operate your box truck for local/regional freight delivery in Chula Vista and surrounding areas
- Manage loading/unloading operations with precision and efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logs (ELD)
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Optimize routes to maximize delivery efficiency and fuel economy
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team and clients
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck operation experience
- Own or have access to a reliable box truck (24-26ft)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Southern California roadways
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Smartphone with reliable internet connectivity
- Commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
